Synopsis

Während eines Footballtrainings stirbt plötzlich der Quarterback Dan. Die Autopsie ergibt, dass er Steroide im Blut hatte. McCann versucht der Sache auf den Grund zu gehen. Seine Nachforschungen in der Schule bringen jedoch noch ganz andere Dinge zum Vorschein. Der Sondermüll der Schule wird im nahe gelegenen Fluss entsorgt, der direkt neben dem Footballfeld vorbeifließt. Bodenproben ergeben, dass das ganze Spielfeld verseucht ist und eine tödliche Gefahr für die Spieler darstellt. Auch Dan war allem Anschein nach ein Opfer dieser Umweltverschmutzung. Jetzt gilt es, den Verantwortlichen das Handwerk zu legen.
