Synopsis

Dr. Pierce lebt nun mit Miranda in Paris. Dort sucht ihn das FBI auf, da seine Hilfe bei einem internationalen Fall gebraucht wird. Eine Delegation chinesischer Wissenschaftler wird an die Pariser Universität kommen, wo Pierce einen Vortrag halten soll. Danach wird der Chinese Dr. Soong bei einer Buchsignierung mit einem bestimmten Stift auf Pierce zukommen, welchen er unauffällig an sich nehmen soll. Dr. Soong hat eine Super-Pille entwickelt, welche die Gedächtnisleistung verbessert. Diese wird in dem Stift geschmuggelt. Pierce tut wie ihm geheißen und versteckt den Stift unter einem losen Stein auf dem Platz vor der Notre Dame.
