Synopsis

Batou und Togusa testen acht potentielle neue Rekruten für Sektion 9. Sie werden in Zweiergruppen aufgeteilt, so dass vier verschiedene Teams entstehen. Jedes Team bekommt die Aufgabe, die Majorin zu verfolgen. Die Majorin erweist sich jedoch als schwieriges Verfolgungsobjekt, und schließlich kann sie die Verfolger aller vier Teams abschütteln. Kurz nachdem das letzte Team von ihrer Fährte abkommt, wird Kusanagi unerwartet gehackt, und findet sich in einer scheinbar verlassenen Straße ohne Kommunikationsverbindung wieder.
