Synopsis

Außer dem Zaubermesser Adamcos hat Catweazle nur noch die Kröte Kühlwalda mit ins 20. Jahrhundert retten können. Doch nun ist Kühlwalda erkrankt, was Catweazle sehr bekümmert. Als er Cedric davon erzählt, kommt der auf die Idee, Kühlwalda zu zwei befreundeten Zoologen zu bringen. Die beiden jungen Wissenschaftler sind sehr erstaunt, denn Kühlwalda gehört einer Krötenart an, die eigentlich seit 300 Jahren ausgestorben ist. Allerdings finden sie das erst nach Konsultation unzähliger Fachbücher heraus. Dass Kühlwalda doch noch gesund wird, verdankt Cedric jedoch nicht den beiden Wissenschaftlern, sondern einem Zufall.
