Synopsis

Im Jahre 2007, Los Angeles: Harry Wyckoff ist Vater zweier Kinder, glücklich verheiratet und ein erfolgreicher Patentanwalt. In letzter Zeit aber wird Harry immer öfter von seltsamen Alpträumen heimgesucht. Eines Tages bekommt er Besuch von seiner ersten großen Liebe Paige und den Auftrag, für sie ihren seit fünf Jahren vermißten Sohn zu suchen. Durch Paige lernt er den Senator, Medienzar und Sektenführer Tony Kreuzer kennen. Mit seinem Medienkonglomerat "Wild Palms" will der Mogul die Medien revolutionieren: Mit Hilfe eines holographischen, dreidimensionalen TV-Systems sollen die Schauspieler ins Wohnzimmer kommen, durch die Droge "Mimezine" soll selbst der körperliche Kontakt zu den Figuren ermöglicht werden.
