Synopsis

Großbritannien rüstet auf, die Sowjetunion schickt den zweiten Sputnik ins All und das kritische Nachrichtenmagazin „The Hour“ flimmert wieder über die Bildschirme Englands des Jahres 1957. Der charismatische Moderator Hector Madden sonnt sich in seinem Ruhm, am liebsten in den halbseidenen Nachtclubs von Soho.
