Synopsis

Everett Backstrom darf nach seiner Strafversetzung zur Verkehrspolizei wieder Kriminalfälle bearbeiten. Mit seinem Team untersucht er den Tod des Sohnes von Senator Tobias Percival II. Es sieht zunächst aus, als habe er sich erhängt, doch Backstrom findet bald Hinweise auf einen Mord. Gemeinsam mit Detective Nicole Gravely, Detective Sergeant John Almond, Officer Frank Moto und dem Forensiker Peter Niedermayer macht er sich auf die Suche nach dem Täter.
