劇情簡介

史賴吉隨陸戰1師第5團在貝里琉島山區清除頑強抵抗的殘留日軍，卻也因此付出了長官紛紛陣亡的慘痛代價，導致史賴吉失去心中崇敬的領導人而一厥不振，加上交戰雙方難以想像的殘暴行為，終使他的道德觀瀕臨瓦解邊緣。
